Chris Frasco, a graduate from Berklee College of Music, shows off his clearly educated musical talent in his recent EP “In Light and Shadow,” a light but intense reflection of the artist’s life. Replete with references from love to remembrances of the past, from self-vitiation to self-affirmation, this album is simultaneously Frasco’s magnum opus and also an excellent entry of new music. Frasco studied jazz at Berklee: it shows in his masterful songwriting and playing presented in his album. Owing to his studies no doubt, his guitar solos are sublime. This album might be a showcase of the next Eric Clapton but with a tinge of Joe Satriani and a dash of John Mayer.

Chris Frasco's debut album is a fresh departure from the typical singer/songwriter formula. His creative style and varied sonic textures take the listener on a journey into the intense personal experiences of this gifted songwriter.

Frasco's was one of the better "singer songwriter" albums I have heard in a while. I was expecting an all acoustic album, but there is a lot more to him than that...
